Three new objects have been added to custom letter
1/ Primary & Spouse Name & Surname
2/ Title & Primary & Spouse Name & Surname
3/ Title & Primary & Spouse Initial & Surname

These objects are ideal for the address line at the top of a letter for representing who the letter is sent to. These fields are sensitive to the settings in the sort window, allowing individual addressing for a custom letter such as:  ‘Mr Joe Bloggs & Mrs Cathy White’.

A new feature has been added to Weekly statistic graphs When doing a monthly average or monthly variance graph, a new graph column exists called ‘year’. 

This shows the yearly value beside all the monthly values.

In the Global set-up area, if a message box is displayed, in some circumstances the set-up area would close after pressing the OK button on the message box, this has now been repaired.

Under certain circumstances, when running the Roll String Analysis, the program encounters an error. This bug has been fixed.

When transferring families from one data base to another if you have within your area different suburb names that have the same postcode, the suburbs would get mixed up, this problem has now been fixed.

Importing data into pastoral care had a bug with some data not being updated as it was brought in, this has now been fixed.

The family email, business email & personal email addresses where limited to 40 characters length, going over 40 characters caused the program to go into error, this has been fixed and has now been expanded to 80 characters long to handle long email addresses. This fix means that each database within Pastoral Care needs to be upgraded. This process will take place after the patch has been installed as you enter each database, please be patient, as the upgrading will take a few minutes depending on how much data has been entered into Pastoral Care.

A new feature has been added to the Roll program. To transfer all the people within the list box of ‘Attendance Unknown’ with either an attendance or absent reason first click on anyone’s name within the ‘Attendance Unknown’ list then press and hold down the ‘CTRL’ key and with the mouse pointer click on the square box beside either the attendance or absent reason that you desire to add to the people. This new feature becomes a great aid as you work through your roll of all the people who have attended church and then you can attach an absent reason to all the people remaining in the `Attendance Unknown’ list.

A bug existed when choosing on the title window to include filters in use for the title of a report, the option sometimes did and sometimes didn’t work depending on what other options where chosen on this window before the close button was pressed, this bug has now been fixed.

A bug existed in the Roll, finance and weekly program in which if you loaded in an existing dates record, altered the record then exit the area without saving that record then if you chose the answer `No’ to the dialog box presented to you to not save the record, that records date was actually deleted then. This has now been fixed.

A new function has been added to the family notebook, this area is accessed from the notes button in the tool bar of the family file. The new function which is an export option which is run by pressing the new button in the toolbar of the family notebook area. This export option assists in creating notes on families using a laptop while away doing visitation to be then able to update the main church data on the church office computer with the new notes. By pressing this new export button more extensive instructions will be given in using this function

A new backend security function exists to protect your data from being seen from anybody else. This new security function takes place firstly by upgrading your data to a new secure database in which new Pastoral Care update program controls securing all your data in the background while you use Pastoral Care. The second new security feature is a new option available to the user in the security area accessed from the main menu setup tab. The new option allows the user to encrypt all notebook files so that people are unable view these notes on your computer with a text editor like the windows notebook program.
This is a major update to your system, it is critical that you update all computers within your church using Pastoral Care, if you are running Pastoral Care on a network then every computer running Pastoral Care on the network must be updated with this patch.

A bug existed when sending emails from PC2002 to email addresses ending in ‘.info’ and some hotmail email addresses. This bug has now been fixed.

-An analysis takes place now on starting up Pastoral Care to check to see if the windows regional settings are set to Australian format (dd/mm/yyyy), this is required because some date analysis work out incorrectly within the program if the regional settings are set incorrectly.

A bug existed when exporting data to a comma delimited file in choosing map references to be exported, the map data for each person was not sent to the export file, this has now been fixed.

A bug existed in the email program of Pastoral Care in that when an individual filter was used, eg group, status, ministry, people where loaded in that didn't belong to the group that was selected. This has now been fixed

A bug existed when doing a manual report and choosing visitation data to be in the report. If this visitation comments was a long one the report missed some of the text to be displayed in the report. This has now been fixed.

A bug existed when in network mode and you had one user using the program and another user attempting to backup the data files, what would happen is that a permanent lock would be introduced so no new user could enter Pastoral Care until they had used the Pastoral Care doctor program to unlock it.

When doing a Map Density analysis a bug existed with the percentage calculations, this has now been fixed

The repair of update 2002.00.56 and 2002.00.57 can cause some custom reports created before this update as an A4 report to appear as an A5 report, this has now been resolved so the custom report appears the way it was designed.

The Doctor program had a problem re-building a database on very large hard drives, this has now been repaired.
